Hello there!
My name is Kiera, and if you’re reading this, you’ve stumbled across a display of my nerdiness. As evident by the blog title – I am a cosplayer, and I think cosplay can be damn fashionable! I’ve been going to anime conventions and cosplaying for approximately 6 years now, and have amassed over 20 costumes. Anime, manga, video games, etc… I have costumes from a variety of series, genres, and genders.
I’ve started this blog in an effort to get motivated about my Senior Project. I’m currently a senior Journalism major at SUNY Purchase, and all seniors must complete a big project that’s supposed to reflect a year of work. Now, as someone with a short attention span and a dislike for serious research, I had to chose a topic that I wouldn’t get bored with and I could get plenty of information on – BINGO! The culture of cosplaying/conventions! (The advantage of being a journalism major – you can pretty much bullshit any idea into a project ^_~). So my plan is to compile a photo story of cosplayers from all experience levels at all different points of the convention/cosplay planning process, along with writing a related article.
This blog at first will focus on me, my cosplay history, and my cosplay/con plans. But as I start working on my project and hear people’s stories, I’d like to include more and more people in this blog.
If you’re interested in more information about my project/would like to meet with me at a convention/would like to help out in any way – please email me at kieravphotography@gmail.com

You are an AWESOME dork.
I love cosplay and this blog! Your outfits look amazing! Did you make the Red 13 outfit yourself?
Hi Selah Vei! I did not sew my Red XIII costume myself, my mom did, but I did design it myself as well as style the wig. Glad to hear you like my stuff ^^
Hi! You were at Otakon, right? So are you going to put Otakon pictures up?
I love looking at cosplay pictures after conventions!
It helps me get over the disappointing fact that the convention has ended and helps me get even more excited for the next one. lol.
Hey, yes I was Sarah! I’m in the middle of sorting/editing my pictures now – then they will be right up on my photography site as well as some on here!
